How can the future trends be forecast? How to know which phenomena will be on consumers’ lips in a year or two? Few can be certain about what the customers of the future want—but some have a better idea than others.

Who came up with it? Where did the idea come from? Certainly not out of the blue. At a big construction site, casting concrete is a daily task, with always some extra material. The thought was bubbling under for a while around the worksite and the Tripla office and eventually it formed into actual idea: let’s put the leftover concrete to good use by making it into concrete roadblocks.

Tripla is the new centre of Helsinki – and the Mall of Tripla its markets and high streets. The new hub of Central Pasila is building into a miniature city, where you can do everything you would downtown – but easier and quicker, safe from drizzles and downpours.

It felt as if all bike lanes led to Pasila’s Veturitori in Helsinki on Thursday 17 May, when the Mall of Tripla cycling concept was showcased to the public with numerous complimentary events.

The new centre of Helsinki is located in the intersection of the cycling route network crisscrossing the city. The bicycle parking facility opening at Mall of Tripla in 2019 will have a vast selection of storage, repair and maintenance services for both cycling enthusiasts and more casual bicycle commuters.

Mall of Tripla’s fifth floor is an oasis of entertainment and wellbeing.

If someone tells you that brick-and-mortar shops are losing their value in the eyes of millennials, they are not up to date with the real millennial behaviour. Based on a few recent studies even up to half of millennials actually prefer doing their shopping in physical shops.
