Espoonkartano - a cosy village in cultural landscape
In the picturesque surroundings of Espoonkartano Finnsinmäki, a new village consisting of single-family homes is in the works. Despite the idyllic rural landscape with horse paddocks, fields, and strawberry farms, the location is excellent.
It’s only about two kilometers to the services and train station in Kauklahti, and the Kehä III (Ring Road III) runs nearby. Schools and a high school are within walking or biking distance, and there’s even a golf course close by.
The area derives its name from Espoon kartano (Espoo Manor). King Gustav Vasa established the royal manor already in the mid-1500s. The current building dates back to the late 1700s and is rented out for special occasions. Adjacent to the manor is Finland’s oldest still-in-use stone bridge. The manor estate also houses a riding school called Espoon Talli.
