Kupittaan kärki Partnership Project, Turku
A multifunctional arena and a practice ice hockey hall are being constructed using the alliance model.
The sports park to be built in Kokkola consists of a multipurpose hall for indoor sports and events, two new practice ice rinks and an indoor running track. The development phase was completed in summer 2023, and now the implementation phase is ongoing, which will last approximately three years.
We will renovate the current ice rink and sports hall and build a UEFA category 2 football stadium. The project’s floor area is about 30,000 m2.
The sports park aims for zero emissions. The location will have energy recycling systems and condensate heat from the ice rink will be used in the multipurpose hall. The energy system of the sports park is based on waste energy recycling. The Kokkola Arena will apply for environmental certification when it is completed.
The alliance also includes UKI Arkkitehdit, Arkkitehtitoimisto Jääskeläinen, Ramboll, Granlund and Kokkolan Urheilupuisto Oy.
