Kupittaan kärki Partnership Project, Turku
We built a 600 meters long access tunnel to Krångede hydropower plant, one of the largest hydropower plants in Sweden.
The contract included also concrete construction and paving + large amouts of diamond wire cutting in the rock. Krångede power plant is the biggest one for Fortum, with it’s 1700 GWh annual output.
The project also aimed to increase the accessibility of the power plant to ease maintenance work.
The project was complex due to the fact that we were excavating in the vicinity of constantly running power plant.
