Kupittaan kärki Partnership Project, Turku
We built a parking facility in Helsinki’s West Harbour that will serve cruise travellers. The facility will be part of a larger Royal Center project.
The project comprised a parking facility with approximately 730 parking spaces and a lobby. Work began in January 2020 with massive bored pile construction due to the challenging foundation. We drilled around 300 bored piles of approximately 30 m in length and 220 mm or 230 mm in width. We began setting up elements towards the end of April. There is a hollow tower-like structure at the centre of the construction that works to stiffen it. In the winter, it will also serve to remove snow piling up on the roof.
Royal Park is being built by Mutual real estate company Kiinteistö Oy Helsingin Jätkäsaaren Satamapysäköinti, which is owned by Erikoissijoitusrahasto eQ Liikekiinteistöt. The finished building will be used by Port of Helsinki.
