Sakky is looking to centralise its operations in Kuopio at a single location and ensure modern learning environments for thousands of students for decades to come. Three connected new buildings totalling 26,000 square metres will be constructed at the Savilahti campus. The buildings will house various teaching and office facilities as well as a restaurant world complete with a teaching kitchen.

Nordic Swan Ecolabel certification will be sought for the complex, and it will satisfy the Healthy Building criteria set out by the Finnish Society of Indoor Air Quality and Climate.

Construction began in autumn 2019 and will be completed in spring 2022.  The project is implemented as a cooperative project management contract.
