Tiistilä school and daycare centre, Espoo

A healthy, safe, wooden and adaptable school and daycare for around 1300 users.

We build a new school and daycare centre in Tiistilä, Espoo. The project is carried out as a project management contract. Construction work started in January 2022, and the project is set to be completed in the summer of 2024.

The gross area of the wooden school and daycare centre property is over 12,000 m2. The school will accommodate 990 students and 110 staff members. There will also be capacity for 168 children in early childhood education.

We build safe and healthy facilities that are in line with the new curriculum. The efficient use, functionality and adaptability of the facilities have been at the heart of the planning.

Design solutions and material choices aim to fulfil YIT's and the City of Espoo’s carbon neutral and sustainable development goals. Planning has particularly focused on energy efficiency during the property’s life cycle.
